  2. The term “Generation X” was coined by Douglas Coupland, author of the book Generation X: Tales for an Accelerated Culture. As with most generational labels, “Generation X” is a somewhat negative term. For Coupland, the letter “X” signified the generation’s random, ambiguous, and contradictory ways.
  3. So take your pick or purchase both either way you can't go wrong. Generation X also did an album called Kiss Me Deadly, it may not be quite as good as this album but I think its worth having if you like Generation X. In my mind Billy Idol never made any music equal to Generation X after he left the group, but hey that's just my opinion/5(18).
  4. Initial copies issued on gradient blue Chrysalis labels in a card picture sleeve opening at the top, some with a printed 'obi' style horizontal strip stating 'The debut album from Generation X' on the front and with a track listing on rear.
